Her industry background includes an extensive knowledge of ancillary lines from working as a carrier representative for MetLife and Mutual of Omaha. Desaré’s high energy consultative sales approach has helped her build a strong industry reputation allowing her to support broker’s needs. She will not only bring your clients solutions that enhance their benefits and save them money, but she will also help you grow your business.
Shannon’s career in the insurance industry began in 1993 at UNUM, later moving on to Paul Revere Insurance. Since joining LISI in 1997, she has become an accomplished presenter, known for speaking with enthusiasm and professionalism. She is also a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and the former Communication Chair for the Golden Gate Association of Health Underwriters (GGAHU). She is dedicated to simplifying the sales process for her brokers and providing them with the sales insight they need to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace.
Gary began his career in the industry in 1982 with New York Life, where he worked with Life and Health products. Before joining LISI in 1993, he worked for Employee Benefits Services as an Inside Sales Representative where he learned the importance of consistent customer service. His industry expertise and strong relationships with the brokerage community allow him to provide his brokers with the superior service they need to succeed in a competitive marketplace.


Peter joined LISI in 2003 bringing over six years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining LISI, he worked with Aetna in various capacities including benefit administration, installation and sales support. Peter’s knowledge of carriers brings a valuable perspective to developing effective and creative sales solutions. He can assist his brokers in all phases of the sales process, including presentations and enrollments, and strives to be the broker’s number one resource for small and large group busines

Laura Aranda excels at working with brokers to create effective sales strategies. In addition to her expertise in health insurance, Laura has a deep knowledge of ancillary products, such as dental, life, and vision for groups on and off renewal. Laura has been an invaluable resource to brokers for questions about health, dental, and life insurance benefits. Previously, she was an Account Client Manager — Supervisor with Aetna where she oversaw a team of client managers. As a health insurance broker with Pan American Underwriters, she partnered with property and casualty agents to sell health insurance to existing clients. She was also a Broker Service Representative with LISI.

Los Angeles

NaShina Bush began her insurance career on the voluntary side of the business selling worksite products directly to clients at Aflac and through broker partnerships at Allstate Benefits. She takes a consultative approach while providing brokers with creative solutions to their clients’ needs and maximizing the revenue potential in their books of business. Her sales expertise allows her to assist brokers in all phases of the sales process, including presentations and enrollments. NaShina embraces customer service as a critical component in building and maintaining successful business relationships. She is dedicated, reliable and committed to her broker partners.
Frank has industry experience since 1992, including 19 years in Small and Large Group sales. Since joining LISI in 2002, he has consistently delivered the highest level of service to his brokers. Whether you need an effective solution to a complex employee benefit need or bilingual support for an enrollment meeting, he is dedicated to providing his brokers with effective sales solutions
LaMonté’s 20-year insurance career began at Mercer/Marsh Benefit Consulting. Later joining Blue Cross/Well Point, he gained carrier perspective through his 10 years as a Large Group Sales Manager. At Blue Cross, he received awards for “Bringing in the Most New Brokers,” and was a member of the “President’s Club.” Afterwards, LaMonté joined PacifiCare Dental & Vision, where he led the sales force for highest membership, six out of the seven years of his career there. Through LaMonté’s commitment, dedication and client-focused services, he has built a strong industry reputation that has allowed him to understand and support the broker’s needs.
Chris brings a genuine desire to offer outstanding service to his clients along with a strong commitment to integrity. Chris has partnered with some of the top brokers and agencies in Southern California providing creative solutions, product knowledge and local market expertise to help his brokers succeed in today’s competitive market. Chris brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has worked for both Medical and Specialty carriers. Chris served as regional sales manager for the Central Coast at Anthem Blue Cross for 11 years. Chris enjoys cycling, golf and home brewing.
As Regional Sales Manager for Los Angeles, Erik Emmermann excels at zeroing in on clients’ needs and developing highly effective sales solutions. Erik’s knowledge on the carrier side brings a valuable perspective to developing effective and creative sales solutions. His 18 years of experience at Anthem Blue Cross includes roles in Sales, Underwriting, Customer Service and Account Management. He has built strong relationships with agents while generating medical, dental, vision, and disability sales across the West LA region.

Orange County

Jeff joined LISI in 1997 and is considered one of their most seasoned professionals. He is ACA certified by NAHU and has extensive knowledge of its workings. His in-depth product knowledge and expertise in the small and large group markets gives him the ability to provide brokers with strategies to close the deal.

Michele joined the LISI team in 2001, having spent the previous 7 years in sales and management for another general agency. Her broad expertise spans the areas of both small and large group medical and specialty products. She has successfully aligned with some of the top brokers and agencies in Orange County, positioning herself as an invaluable resource in the strategy and implementation of their client’s benefit packages. Her integrated approach to identifying opportunities and capitalizing on efficiencies help her to achieve and maintain highly satisfied customers, not only with the brokers she works alongside but the carriers she partners with.
Eric joined the LISI team in 2011 with expertise in internal and external direct sales, which stems from his five-year tenure at WellPoint as well as being a broker. He also served as a Spanish Market Specialist for Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Having previously owned a successful insurance business, Eric knows what it takes to service a case from start to finish and, most importantly, close a sale. Highly motivated, industrious, and personable, he is readily available to share his industry knowledge and provide assistance from sales, to bilingual enrollment, to ensure his brokers’ success.

With her industry career beginning in 1978, including working at Old Northwest Insurance Company, Laurie is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of health insurance, underwriting, claims, field service, and sales. She is co-President of the IEAHU, Desert Chapter and has worked in the Inland Empire since 1987. Since joining LISI in 1998, Laurie has remained committed to providing creative solutions, product knowledge, and local market expertise to help her brokers succeed in today’s competitive marketplace
As Regional Sales Manager, Tyler Shepard brings strong industry experience and a positive attitude. He’s great at building relationships, partly due to the marketing and customer service experience he has gained with nationally known companies. Tyler’s motto is that hard work pays off, which is evident in his unwavering dedication to meeting brokers’ needs. Tyler is known for being very frank with brokers because he believes in setting the right expectations. Those who work with him know that he stays on top of things because he’s structured, organized and detail oriented, often answering questions before they’re asked. Tyler enjoys CrossFit, surfing and golfing.

Joseph Norfleet joined the LISI team in 2018 as a Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining LISI, he was with Brown & Brown Insurance, as a regional sales consultant, specializing in life, health, disability, and benefits for groups and individual clients. His insurance career began in 2011, at Liberty Mutual, as a multi-line insurance consultant where he partnered with CEOs, CFOs and Senior Human Resources Professionals to develop long term strategic solutions to their commercial and personal lines, voluntary and Employee Benefit Plans.

His clients appreciate the personal and attentive style that he uses in servicing their needs. He likes to take a consultative approach in helping each of his clients tailor creative solutions that will maximize the revenue potential in their books-of-business. Joseph enjoys the challenge of helping his clients find benefit solutions that align with the needs of their organizations.


Joining LISI in 2009, Ryan brings over five years of sales experience, including working in the health insurance industry. With the increasing requests for LISI to provide brokers with strategies for targeting new clients, he is focused on partnering with his brokers to offer his expertise in creating successful lead generation programs. With Ryan’s strong interpersonal skills and passion for helping brokers grow their business, he is dedicated to providing them with complete sales support
Nicole Allyn joined LISI in February of 2017. With over twenty-four years of experience in the insurance industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge that enables her to unravel complex cases and deliver swift results. She understands the daily concerns of her clients and takes pride in providing superior service that can be relied on for presentations, enrollment meetings, research and finalization of pending items to ensure speedy approvals. Nicole is well-known for her ability to provide her broker partners with strategic solutions that garner unprecedented results. She enjoys educating brokers and their teams on carrier updates and changes and forging friendships and long term partnerships. Before joining LISI, she worked for fourteen years at another General Agency.

San Diego

Christina began her industry career in 1984 starting as an Underwriter, later growing to become a top Salesperson for a national dental insurance company. Before joining LISI in 2001, Christina spent nine years as a Sales Executive. She is a member of the San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU) and served as the former President of the San Diego Employee Benefit Council (SDEBC). Through her extensive product knowledge and problem solving skills, she is dedicated to providing her brokers with superior service for all their insurance needs.

As Regional Sales Manager for San Diego, Marc Eagleton focuses on providing outstanding service and bringing creative solutions. Believing that communication is key, Marc stays in close contact with brokers — always looking to help when and where he can. He takes a proactive approach to delivering the best in broker service. He has 10 years of experience on the carrier side in group implementation and new group sales. Marc has an MBA from Redlands University and a CHRS designation.
As Regional Sales Manager, Denise Aragón credits her nurturing personality with helping others and making sure that members are comfortable with their benefits. She genuinely cares about brokers, especially those who are new to group health, helping them make the most of LISI resources. Denise has small and large group experience and covers both San Diego and Imperial Counties. Denise and her team work together to help brokers grow their books of business. Before coming to LISI, Denise was an independent broker selling individual and family plans. Previously, she gained extensive sales, PR and marketing experience in her years in the fashion and beauty industries. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and a Minor in Marketing. She is a licensed agent in California, is PPACA certified by NAHU and is a Member of SDAHU. As a Silicon Valley native, Denise has spent the past 17 years in Southern California.
