Next Tuesday, February 19th from 9-10AM PST, LISI will be continuing our monthly LISI Academy Healthcare Reform Updates series with a webcast on the Small Business Health Options Program, or SHOP exchange, “Will Anyone Shop at the SHOP?”. By summer of 2013, you will need to decide whether or not you will get certified to sell small group insurance via the SHOP exchange for January 2014 renewals. In this webcast, healthcare reform expert Micah Weinberg, PhD, Senior Healthcare Policy Advisor at the Bay Area Council, and LISI Director of Product and Marketing, Peter Diaz, will help you with this decision by detailing the specifics of the SHOP exchange, and providing you with answers to your essential SHOP questions, such as:

  • Does the SHOP exchange have a strong value proposition for your clients who are not eligible for the credit?
  • How will employee choice work within the SHOP?
  • Is it worth your while to get certified to sell SHOP products?

To join the webcast, register with LISI Academy (it’s free!) and reserve your spot. For more on LISI Academy and how to get started, click here.

Also be sure to save the date for next month’s Healthcare Reform Update on Monday, March 18th, “Will the Affordable Care Act Make Care Less Affordable?.”
