Great News! Sutter Health Plus has just announced a new Underwriting Promotion for Q3 effective dates. Sutter Health Plus lowered requirements with participation, plan combinations, carrier combinations, and DE-9Cs. Consider Sutter Health Plus your solution.

One note: If a group over 20 is requesting 4 plans, refer to the Standard Underwriting Guidelines.

Below are the new promotional guidelines:

Effective Date of the Promo: July 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018 effective dates

Group Size Requirements: 2 – 19 Eligible:

• Minimum of two enrolled
• Up to two Sutter Health Plus plans; zero enrollment is not allowed
• One additional carrier can be offered
• The DE-9C is not required if the group has a current carrier bill
• Eligible employees who are not on the current carrier bill will complete the Employee Eligibility Form
• Plus Plans are not eligible

Group Size Requirements: 20 – 99 Eligible:

• Minimum of five enrolled
• Up to three Sutter Health Plus plans; zero enrollment not allowed
• Two additional carriers can be offered
• The DE-9C is not required if they have a current carrier bill
• Eligible employees who are not on the current carrier bill will complete the Employee Eligibility Form
• Plus Plans are not eligible

Standard Assumptions:

• The contribution must be the same for both plans with a minimum of 50% contribution
• The employer must get a completed waiver for each employee who declines coverage for any reason
• The employer must meet the IRS definition of a small group employer
• Participating Employee Organizations and Associations are not eligible
• The employer must maintain workers’ compensation when required by law
• Owner or co-owners do not qualify without an additional full time eligible employee
